Scheduling & Communication

A lot of effort is going into creating a schedule that works based on the times our volunteers and families selected, as well as geographical location, and ability for Ariela or Sarah M. to attend the first home session.

We are extremely hopeful that home sessions will not need to be rescheduled to make all of this work.

In-Person Home Sessions

Everyone will be invited to Google Calendar invites for all home visits prior to the program starting.
Please accept/add these invites to your calendar, and notify sarah@glowingheartscharity.org right away if there is a scheduling concern we should be aware of now.

Communication Between Volunteers & Families

You will be included in a group email conversation made up of the volunteer, family, and program team. If at any time volunteers and families need to connect such as about needing supplies, rescheduling a home session, etc. please reply all to this group email, so that the program team is included.
The subject for the group email will be Calm HOMES Group # (and whatever group number you have been assigned).
At your first home session, volunteers and families may decide to share phone numbers.

Communication with the Program Team

Please email Sarah Fleming and Sarah Mak in a JOINT email, and we will direct your question to the appropriate team member, if it isn’t one of us.

Online Workshops

You will be invited to Google Calendar invites for all Online Workshops/Peer Support sessions. These invites also include the Zoom link to join.
Attendance is required for participants at all workshops, and engagement in the program will impact what resources you will be able to access through the program.
Volunteers may email sarah@glowingheartscharity.org if they would like to be invited to the Online Workshops. They will be able to stay for the learning portion of the session.

Sharing of Materials & Resources by the Program Team for Volunteers & Participants

All materials and resources will be shared via the Calm HOMES Program Google Classroom (GC). See Calm HOMES Program Google Classroom document for details.
Volunteers and participants will all be invited to the GC so that shared materials are accessible to everyone.

Participants, if you would like any other adults in your home to be added to the Google Calendar invites, email conversations, and Google Classroom, please email sarah@glowingheartscharity.org with the name and email address. Thank you!

Please email sarah@glowingheartscharity.org if you require any technical assistance with the Google Classroom, Zoom, etc. ASAP.
